Thanks to its strong attention-grabbing function, the poster is excellent for brand building, product or political campaigns, promoting sales and popularising events. Classic poster printing is an effective and spectacular promotional and advertising tool in shop interiors, at exhibitions, in doctors' surgeries and showrooms, and it is also used as an eye-catching office and home decoration. The poster product category also includes maps, decorative wrapping papers and annual planner calendars or poster calendars.
The poster calendar and the poster are the longer-lived versions of the same product: a calendar stays on the wall for a whole year, while a poster serves as decoration in an office, a shop or at home. We print both on thicker paper that stays flat, with optional matte or gloss lamination and metal or plastic rails, so they stay beautiful for years.
Product description
Poster printing is traditionally one of our print shop's most important products. We make posters for both outdoor and indoor use; the difference lies in the print substrate, i.e. the paper, and in the lightfastness of the ink. Posters can be given further decorative effects with matt or gloss film and varnishes, and we also undertake their metal or plastic railing. Our high professional and technological standards mean that, depending on size and print run, posters can be ready even on the day of ordering.
Poster or placard?
Many people ask what the difference is between a plakát and a poszter… well, in printing terms, absolutely nothing! By Hungarian convention the plakát also contains textual information, while the poszter does not. The plakát is made primarily for outdoor use, the poszter for indoor use. Interestingly, in English terminology it is exactly the other way round: there the "poster" is what contains textual information, while the "placard" matches the properties of the Hungarian poszter. The photo poster, i.e. a canvas image printed on painter's canvas and stretched on a frame, has become a popular home decoration. The print substrate of the photo poster is the painter's canvas, the so-called canvas. You can decorate your door with a creative poster, or, to the delight of many, the walls of your home, shop or café in a full-wall version.
